Next big nail polish colour confirmed
I do love mr karl lagerfeld runway shows.He seems to be one of the only designers left who does his creative starjumps before putting together his show.At the sping/summer 2010 collections, you may recall the chanel show was done in a barn.A cool, sexy barn, where all the models wore $4000 dresses.In paris this week, mr lagerfeld went for an icier feel.Literally the catwalk was framed in a giant iceberg(Made of snow and ice imported from sweden)And the models walked on faux ice.So cool.Literally.
And, in another fun fact, all the fur on the runway was fake.Which is kind of a big deal for a super luxury house like chanel. (And especially with senor karl at the helm as he also does fur lovin fendi).The hair nods at the return to the of the future beehive prada also played with, and make up was of course by chanel creative director, peter philips. (I be getting the how to in a few days. )But the nails!Get to the nails, fosters!Everyone knows the nail polish worn on the chanel runway will become the nail polish colour for the next season!
Okay, so quick recap.Back in a/w 09 show, we were given jade, which sold out immediately and is now selling for over 100 pounds on ebay.Nuts.
At the s/s 10 show last september, we were given her royal taupeness, particuliere, which i am wearing right now, and really, really like, not least because it inspires lots of that the chanel nail polish?Comments.
And now, now we have the new shade of polish, bound to influence us all in the coming months:Jade rose, a sweet, sheer, cheap michael kors bags feminine pink, not unlike the pink one might see on a french manicure.

I thought the nude nails might stick around a bit longer, and really, this pink is just a variation on that theme, only the bone, sand and flesh tones had made way for a less opaque, more girly finish.Nice!Pretty!Very wearable.Perhaps we even delve back into the french manis again you like jade rose?
